concurrent filing

hi
i filed for 140/485 concurrently at the texas center(self petitioned via NIW)
nowdays ins does not open 140 till it is time for 485 , but in case of NIW 485 can only be processed after 5 years are over ,\
1. so does it mean that there will be no progress of my case till 5years ( except for FP which is already done)
2.so i can't even use AOS if i want to as 140 will be pending for 5 years

3.also can other people who filed concurrently 140/485 this year in texas share the progress of their cases

>>> Yes, that is true. but u never know, USCIS may decide to act on ur I-140 and approve it any day.

2.so i can't even use AOS if i want to as 140 will be pending for 5 years

>>> probably true. There are differences of opinion on whether u can change employer with pending i-140 and after 180 days of pending I-485, but this difference of opinion is for employment based petitions. see the ongoing discussions at I-485 forums and u will know.
NIW is a special category, and I am not clear how we are supposed to act. Every time you change an employer, u r supposed to file a new I-140 even if u have an approved NIW I-140 from the previous job.

clarification,
1.when u say 140 approved for NSC are these physicians with employment based labor or NIW (self petitioned) and have there 140 been approved even before its time to open up 485
2. if the J1 waiver is approved and one has self petitioned NIW , can i open up my own corporation/clinic in the same area ( i don,t have a non compete clause) even before 3 years of waiver job is complete by sending another 140)( i have been working with the current employer for 1.5 years and am having some serious problems)
3.do i then have to get DOH to again approve the waiver job which i got through the conrad program
4.i heard in new provision of J1 program it does not even have to be waiver area as long as u can prove that u still see majority of underserved pts
