I have been a green card holder for the past 10 years, which is now expiring. I am faced with either renewing the card or applying for citizenship.
However I did get arrested once, about 3 years ago. I was arrested for urinating in public (2 am at night at a parking lot close to a nightclub) and marihuana possession which has been decriminalized in OR state. I received fines which i paid right after my court appearance.
Should I even try or just wait until the 5 years are up?
More info: Both were misdemeanor charges, the amount of Marihuana was very very small (enough to fill a small pipe) so a lot lower then 1 oz
