Concerned.... old J visa

Hello. I recently filed for AOS based on marriage to a USC. In 1998 I came to the US on a J-1 visa as a high school exchange student. Then, I became an F-1 student and have maintained that status since then.
I know to be subject to the 2yr hrr you have to have taken a govt benefit, I'm wondering whether me entering on the J-1 visa as secondary school exchange student subjects me to the 2 yr requirement.
Also, will the USCIS find out about that old visa??
Thanks!!

Do you still have your passport with that old visa? Look at the annotation on the visa. I am guessing you don't ahve that requirement, otherwise they'd probabbly not have given you the F-1 visa without you living abroad for 2 years.
