Hi, I came to USA on a F-1 visa. Then worked for a company on Optional Practical Training (OPT). My OPT expires on 31st August, 2002 but i already got my H1-B approved in March of this year.
The H1-B is not stamped on my passport, so i will go to Delhi to get it stamped. I have a couple of questions regarding this.
a) Has anyone gone to Delhi before to get the visa stamping done? If yes could you tell me the experience.
b) I have two I-94 (one of my F-1 visa and one which came with the approval of my H1-B visa. Which one do i give to the immigration when i go out of the US?
c) Lastly a very important conceptual question.
"When you go out of the US, they take the I-94 and do not stamp your passport. So if i have to use the dropbox in Delhi i could send my passport through post to Delhi, get the stamping done by dropbox and get the passport back here. How does it matter if i am in India or if i am in the US."
