Compliacation with Change of Lawyer?

I am EB2 with CSC, with I-140 approved in Sept. 04, but I-485 with Nov. 03 reciept date) still pending. Company (large cap) recently changed law firm, and I am pressured to move my case from current law firm to the new one.

Though I believe I have option to stay, but company reimbursement process may require me to pay by myself any future RFE work, EAD/AP renewal and then a lengthy process to hope to get reimbursed.

My question: What is the real risk with changing law firm at my stage? It is for sure current law firm will forward all mails very quickly to new firm. So I guess lost mail is not an issue either way BCIS sends mail to.

New law firm even claims since they will write to BCIS about this change of representation, that act alone may triger approval process.

Pls share your perspective.
