Folks,
we (self/wife) completed stamping today at the Chicago district office.
It was an interesting and pleasant experience. We arrived 1 hour earlier but the security nicely asked us to come back 15 minutes before the exact infoass appointment time.
Then we went thru security and finally the officer registered us and gave us token number. Our number was called.
The officer took our approval notices. Asked if we wanted the cards mailed to different address. Then he stamped our passports and collected EADs/AP and pictures. He had a concern about my wife's picture, her ears were covered with her hair. The officer asked us to get a new picture across the street and come back. And we did .It was nice of him, otherwise we will have to come back and /or take a chance of submitting a incompliant picture. Folks, make sure your ears show up in pictures ( at least, according to this officer. It could be a problem if ears are fully covered).
In any way, the entire procedure took 1 hour. Well, now time to wait for a plastic card.
