Company Name Change Issue

Hi

Has anyone gone through the issue, where your company has changed its name during the course of the process and did that have any impact on your CP ?

Do we need to file an amended I-140 for a successful CP ?

I am having my CP interview at Madras next month and I am taking the Registration documents with me to prove the name change.

Any inputs or comments on this would be greatly appreciated..

Take name change documents

You can ask your employer for name change documents, this is a document sent to the state in which your company resides with your owner signature (This is required and a must to have). Also get a letter on your company leter head declaring name change. These two documents should be OK. For safety take your paystup with both the names as the company's Tax ID will be same on both the paystub.

If you have all these thing you should be fine. One of my friend had the same problem in CP (delhi) but he was fine with the above mentioned documents.

I appreciate that. I am working on taking the registration documents and a letter from the employer.
Apparently the Tax ID of the company does not appear in my pay stubs. so dont think that would be of any use.
