Hello Friends,
    I called IIO this afternoon with respect to Company Name Change Cases. I requested my employer to file an ammended I-140 after seeing several postings by our IGATE friends. My employer filed one during the first week of May, 2001. The IIO mentioned that everything looks fine in my case and I should hear a decision on or before mid July. I asked her specifically whether the ammended I-140 removed the so called "HOLD". She did not answer that directly. She re-iterated again that everything looks fine in my case and should hear within the next 1 - 11/2 month time frame. Did any one from IGATE heard such similar info. Please respond. Wish you all good luck and I am sure we all will get to that in a very short time.

According to her yes. But I still haven\'t received my receipt notice yet. When I asked her for the same, she refused to give me the either the receipt date or the corresponding I-140 number or whatever they call it as.

I got through the VSC number twice and both the time the lady told me that she could not talk about I-140. She did not even confirm that Amended I-140 & I485 are linked or not.

Is there any specific way that I should talk to them? Please share your experience.
