Hi,

My employer has a lay off history: 6 to 7 rounds of lay offs across all departments in the recent past. More lay offs are not ruled out. Should I factor this in deciding between AOS and CP? If so, is one prefered over the other.

Thanks for your thoughts.

If there is even a little bit of doubt about holding on to your
job till completion of IV interview then AOS is the better choice
for you. For consular process you need to have the job till
you complete the interview.

Thanks Raju595. From where I look at things, my group looks secure for some time, touchwood :)

But in view of all the lay offs happening around in my company, should I expect trouble during CP interview? Ofcourse, the folks who do the interview may not even get to know about the lay offs.

Or is it just the same whether its CP or AOS?

Thanks.
