Hi all:
I have my labor approved and am planning on apply for I140 and 485. The lawyer said that they need the company financial documents but my company is giving me a hard time on this one. I believe they may not give it at all. (its a small consulting firm).

Is this going to be a problem. Can I still go ahead and file. All my other documents (pay stubs) etc are in order.

Has anyone experienced a similar thing before? and what was the outcome. i am really getting anxious.

Thanks in advance..

You can go ahead and file your I-140/I-485. As per rule, BCIS can ask for Financial proof, if a company has less than 100 employees. If you have luck, you may not get RFE for Company Financials. In that case you don't need the documents. But in case of RFE, you will have to send the financial documents to BCIS.

As far as I know, Small company or Big company does not matter. Your company must have strong financial support. I know people who were sponsored by employer with 2-3 employees, got their Greencard.
