I do have a commitment to finish my job in the US before I can actually live and work in Canada. My IM-1 expires SEP 29 and my job ends OCT 31.
Can I start the PR application in AUG when I’m going to spend a few days in Canada to search for job and house? Can I ask them to send the PR card to a friend in Canada and this friend can send it to me? As per their website, it will take about 30 days until the card is issued (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times/process-in.html#table), so I should receive the PR card in September, am I right or do I violate any rules?
Don’t want to mess this up, thanks for some professional advice.
