Comments appreciated on this situation:
My priority date is Nov 2001 and belong to EB2 category. I-140 has been approved and I-485 pending for 17 months.
If I get laid off, I will be on payroll for 60 more days. If I find another similar job and intend to join after those 60 days so as not to loose severance benefits ( which is not negligible ), could somebody comment on the risk involved? If there is an RFE for EVL on I485 during those 60 days, would the offer letter for a similar job from the new company be sufficient to respond to the RFE?
Or is it better to take up a similar job as soon as possible?
