Coming back to US after 7 months on AP

Hi,
My I140/485 are pending. My AP expires on 05/09/2005 and EAD on 10/09/2005.
I left US on 10/5/2004.
Will I have a problem re-entring US in april this year i.e after 7 months.
Will I have any questions to face at airport.
People with similar experience please share.

No, you should not have any problem while entering. You can enter any time before expiry of AP.

As a side note be prepared if they ask why were you out of US for so long. Not that they will grill you, but if they ask casually you have to have a satisfactory answer ready.

By law its ok to stay outside the country even if GC is pending. If anybody has a unexpired AP and passport they should be fine to enter back. Remember GC is for future employment and its not a must that you have to be employed all the time when 485 is pending.
