combine medial + interview in Frankfurt (time frame)

Hey guys,

my situation: we live in the northern part of Germany, travel distance to Frankfurt is about >500km. The medical in Frankfurt should be quiet easy and uncomplicated (that's what I got from people who already had their med in the past), so our plan is to do the medical in Frankfurt as well (we expect to be current in April).

Does anyone have a comparable situation and experiences to make the medical and the interview in a short time frame, e.g. ? Or experiences in common for the med?

I know that it's possible to make both at the same day but it's not recommended at all. How long last the transfer of medical docs to the consular in Frankfurt?

The idea behind is to make the medical as short-term as possible before the interview appointment. But I want to avoid that the visa issuing will be delayed because of missing medical documents.

The reason for my question is to find the optimum because I've seriously to attend my available holidays and current work load. Finally I need holidays for activation travel and move over :-). As less I work this year as less free days will be available...

A travel twice would be more acceptable (spending approx. 2 days) than a stay for a couple of days (> 2 days), and I want to get a feeling when this should be scheduled.

Thanks for you help.

Best regards
Mike

Mike, The best thing to do is call the doctor in Frankfurt - and check with them what the procedure is, and how long it will take. They will probably advise to do it a week or so before the interview - but they may be able to shorten that timeline if you explain that you are travelling in for that reason.

Hey, Simon,

this is exactly Plan B :p. I hoped to find someone who already made some experiences in that stuff, but obviously that may be a rare situation. Thanks a lot for your advice.

Best regards
