Is it possible to get govt grants or get a scholarship after i get my Ged to go to College here?.Can i go to college without having my I 485 approved but pending,Or will my SS# expire and i will not be entitled to do these things? until i get GC?.

What kinda scholarship is it? If it's one with an outside sponsor based on grades and stuff I don't see why it would affect it. If it's one for int students, I don't think you would be eligible for it anymore. You don't qualify for any government financial aid.

You should call the financial aid office or admissions office in your school.

Yes.

Depends on your immigration status

SS never expire, it’s your valid immigration status that counts

I got government grants in a past for my studies as “eligible noncitizen”.
After you file FAFSA your college administrations will verify your status with INS first and
then approve your application for financial aid or deny it, if your status is not conformed by INS.
You can check your eligibility here: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/faq003.htm
and file for federal student aid right from the web (you will need to know your school code first) or you can ask all these question in your college of choice – they have people there, in financial aid office, who is doing just that – helping students apply for the aid and then collecting their money.
