Co-Sponsor loses job.

I am under F1(Family first)category with priority date current.My
father is my principal petitioner but since his income is not
enough,my brother is applying to be my co-sponsor.He was still in the
process of doing so when last week he suddenly lost his job.
How does it affect his being a co-sponsor(if any) and is there a
certain bank balance to show for being a co-sponsor?

well he can show assets if he has any. I am not sure about bank balance.
