Co-sponsor for i864

hello and thank you in advance,
So I'm applying for permanent residence through my wife, but since her income is insufficient we are having a co-sponsor helping us. He is married and his own income is far greater than Poverty line for CA, although he files taxes with his wife (joint 1040).
My question is on section 1 and 24 of i864. Can I use him as only joint sponsor on i824 (section 1) and respectively leave section 24b empty using solely his income (which is enough) or i have to involve his wife using two joint sponsors and have her file i864A?

Only he and his individual income needs to be included, except for the question where they ask for the income as listed on the tax return. For that he'll write the joint income amount because he filed a joint tax return.

There is a separate question where it asks for his own income; there he'll write his own income without his wife's income.

Your wife will file I-864, your friend will file a separate I-864, but his wife would not file an I-864A or I-864.

Thank you Jackolantern for your response
So my theory was correct and i don't have to involve his wife, but that still brings me to the section 24b: do i put "none" over there or just leave it empty?
