Quick questions,
I am a student, (USC) I used my father's income/assets as a co-sponser for my wife's I485 application, everything seems fine, just got the interview letter.

Does my father have to be present at the interview as the co-sponser? Or just his tax forms/assest statements is okay?

Also, after reading many posts it seems that as long as everything goes okay, "a few weeks" after the interview she will get the official perm. res. status....but up until then, is she authorized to work, leave and return to the USA with the temporary stamp?

thanks in advance

(i searched for this question, but couldn't find an answer)

I believe your father will need to be present at the interview since most part of his income is being used.
Yes, after the interview is over and if everything goes fine and once the officer stamps her passport, she can use that passport stamp to travel and to apply for SSN in order to start working.

thanks for the reply, my wife already has a SSN, but the one given to students, that says not vaild for work without....will she be issued a new one?

You have to go to SSN office with your stamped passport. They will issue her a new card with same # without any restriction on it.
