one of my friends friend he is planning to do MBA from states. He has aproached the financial institutions and got it from the
THE PARAS EDUCATION FOUNDATION (TPEF), Mumbai, India.
But the main problem is they want a co-guarantor who is a greencard holder.
I donot know this person personally. Is there any risk involved in giving co-gurantee. Is there any problem if I give co-guarantee to multiple persons since i might have to do the same for my brother-in-law

any inputs appreciated

look at form I-134 affidavit of support at the following link

this is self explanatory; this will tell you what is involved in "supporting" a person. My personal advice if you don't know a person well you shouldn't do it. AFAIK there is no problem in supporting multiple persons so long you have the finances to do it and if push came to shove you "are" able to support the person involved.

I'm not a lawyer so always always confirm with one before proceeding
