Hi,
Can one do fingerprinting at US Consulate abroad, instead of going to an ASC office assigned in the USCIS letter? My wife (on H4 visa) have received a FP notice for our Adjustment of Status application, but she is in Germany right now. It appears that US Consulates are authorized to do fingerprinting and biometrics, just as ASC offices are. It also appears to be ok to just drop by at a "random" ASC office with a letter from USCIS and get the fingerprints done. Can it work the same way with a US consulate abroad? What do you think?
Thank you!
Mikhail.
