Cleared Checks and Receipt Number

Is there anyway to know the receipt number from the checks that have been cleared by USCIS?

I see some numbers scribbled on the checks when I look at them through on-line banking.

I recently applied at NSC. Ignore all the numbers on the back of the check. There should be a number on the front of the check. Add a * and 0s to make it 13 (letter + digits) e.g. LIN*000999999. It worked for me.
