take at look on this:

Adjustment of Status for Asylees

The Service is receiving between 25,405– 43,881 applications per year. Consequently, as of April 30, 2006, approximately 112,985 asylee adjustment applications were pending. We anticipate that we will process pending applications according to the following schedule:

Date Received (Mail Date) Timeframe to be Processed
On or before January 1, 2003 September 30, 2006
June 1, 2003-March 31, 2007 September 30, 2007
On or after April 1, 2007 Within 6 months of receipt

We emphasize that these dates are APPROXIMATIONS; unforeseen occurrences may delay processing.

If you move, please notify us by sending a letter to the office where your case is pending as follows:

USCIS Nebraska Service Center USCIS Texas Service Center
P.O. Box 87865 or P.O. Box 850891
Lincoln, NE 68508-7865 Mesquite, TX 75185-0891

Please note that only address changes will be processed at these addresses. Non-address change inquiries received at these P.O. Boxes cannot be answered. Be sure to include your A- number or your case receipt number. Also note that, for cases originally filed at the Nebraska Service Center but later transferred to the Texas Service Center, change-of-address notification should be sent to the Texas Service Center.

Also, be aware that notifying the Center of an address change for a pending application DOES NOT satisfy the requirement to notify the Service of your where abouts.

You must also send Form AR-11 to the address listed on the form to meet your legal requirements for reporting a change of address. Instructions for that notification can be found on this same website under the link: “Immigration Forms, Fees, and Fingerprints” in the upper left corner of the home page.

If your case was filed before the date reflected in the chart above, and has not been adjudicated in the timeframe indicated, you may inquire about the status of your case by using the Case Status Online tool on this website or by sending an email to NSCLawsuit.Asylum@dhs.gov

Dear Brothers & Sisters:

From my case, I did nothing, just wait, though it is painful, never sue INS, never ask congressman. I picked up the way to forget it for a while. then it came suddenly.
