Clarifying getting married on H1 and AP.

I had asked questions last year regarding getting married once the 485 is filed.

This was my situation.

Filed 485 in July 2002. Got AP and EAD also. AP got expired and got new Emergency AP but lost the 485 receipt in the process. Laywer told me not to use the AP if i get married so i had to come back on the valid H1 visa.

Now I got married last year and got my H1 visa and my wife got H4 same time as me. My wife came back with me and no questions were asked by the IIO at the immigration. They did not even check the 485 receipt just checked the H1 visas.

This is just some info for the people who were scared of travelling and getting married oversea due to this reason.

Good to have you back, the forum has been a little dry lately, though we have had a few approvals since the last time you were active. :)
