clarification, urgent help

Dear all,

I got my Green card in Jan '03. I have a question. My employer wants me to go to UK for 6-8 months on an assignment. ofcourse i will be taking UK work permit or whatever is applicable.but I will be paid in US$ and will be paying taxes.

Is it ok to work there , should I apply for returning resident permit ?

Applying for RRP...

is the safe thing to do, especially if you are not sure how long you will be out. However, going out side the US for 6-8 months while still employed by your sponsoring employer should not create problems. Consult your attorney.
