Hi Friends,

Mine a future employment based 485 case. I am not currently working with the sponsoring employer. But they are supporting it from the day i filed the labour till now. In between i changed 2-3 employers as part of working. Especially after filing 485 in Dec 2002 i changed the employers 2 times.

Now i am waiting for the approval to happen and then work for sponsored employer for some period of time atleast 6 months and then later negotiate with sponsored employer quit them and join as a peramanent employee.

i am eagerly waiting for the approval to come soon so that i can complete that working for some minimum time (like 6 months) quickly.

But unfortunately my case has been transferred to local washington DC district office. They have a huge delay in scheduling just for the interview. Might take around 4 months - 1 year time for scheduling the interview.

In this scenario what if i join a company who can continue the GC process from the sponsored employer. Will it effect when i was called for interview? Or what if i will be interviewed and then after that instead of joining the sponsoring employer i join another employer ?

I don't think it is going to affect you as long as the original employer is supporting you and you can take an EVL from them. Just my feeling. I told you I am in the similar scenario but I am still waiting for a decision on my case.

PremChopra,

My case is not approved yet. What exactly you mean by EVL? Also original employer is supporting the 485 process that's true. But i am asking from the perspective of future Naturalization process, for example if i don't work with the sponsoring employer after GC is approved and start working with another employer immediately after Gc is approved and in future when i apply for naturalization will there be a problem for citizenship? How correct is that process? That is what is my concern about.

If you would have read what unitednations have said and what the pdf says, it cannot get better than that.

By EVL I meant, Employer Verification Letter, it is the same thing which pdf is calling as the proof of similar position even if you change jobs etc.

if using ac21 at the time of interview, do you need to show taxes and financial information from your new employer/company???????????????????? do you need to establish that this new employer can pay the offered salary/lc salary??????? or is it just enough to take EVL ( employment verification letter) and last 3 paystubs?????

your answer is greatly appreciated.....
