Clarification on H1B Status and Reentry to the USA

Hello Rajiv Sir, I joined Company A in the USA on an H1B visa in October 2024. My I-797 and visa stamping are valid until 2027. In January 2025, I relocated to Canada to work on around year-long project for a sister company, Company B, under a Canadian work permit. Currently, I am being paid by Company B in Canada and not by Company A in the USA.

My questions are:
  1. Do I need to file any amendment before traveling back to the USA to work for Company A on the same H1B?
  2. or Do I / company need to maintain anything to ensure I can return to the USA and continue working for Company A, without any issues?
  3. Can my company A keep my H1B status active if I remain outside the USA for about a year?
I have an approved I-140 with company A.
