Clarification on employment status (I-864)

Hi guys! I am a little confused. Any input from you will be much appreciated! I filed I-130for my parents in November of last year. The petitions got approved first week of March. The AOS fee of $88 has already been paid. I also already have the coversheets with me. I am now about to fill out the form I-864. Right now, my income is sufficient for a household number of 5 but the issue here is my status at work. My position is temp-to-perm. I am not yet permanent even though my income is enough. To be on the safe side, should I have my husband file for I-864A? Although I am making a little bit more money than him, his job is permanent. And we have been filing taxes jointly for the past 3 years, anyway. Do you guys think it will work that way? Help please...

Thank you very much in advance.

And I just want to add that I have only been with this new company for 4 months. I got laid off in November from my previous job, the same month I filed for I-130.

Unless you have a permanent offer or you have a very long temp contract (over a year), the consulate probably won't accept your current job as sufficient for the I-864, given that the requirement is that the income should continue beyond when they arrive in the US as permanent residents (which could be as much as 6 months after the consular interview). So to be safe you should include your husband's income with the I-864A.

However, if you and your parents combined have sufficient assets (somewhere over $120K), you may be able to list those assets instead of income.
