Clarification about InfoPass

My EAD application with the Newark office is over 90 days. In order to get an Interim EAD, do I need to schedule an appointment through InfoPass or is it ok if I just walk-in and go through the pain of waiting in line etc...

The InfoPass website says it is an information appointment and so I am really confused.

Thanks once again...

No more walk in. You must have infopass, otherwise they don't even allow you to talk with anybody. In the infopass definitely you have to select the radio button that you are going for interim EAD. Gurus correct me if I am wrong. In Hartford CT, there is no walk in process.

Yap, obviously it depends on the center. I have a friend who just walked in last week without infopass. He wanted to ask general questions about all the forms he and his wife USC have to submit. He said the lobby was totally empty and was accepted wthout problems. The Immigration officer even filled all the docs 130/485/765/131 for him. Now he just have to re-write them walk back in and leave the docs.
Obviously it depends on the center and how loaded it is.
The office I am talking about is - Pittsburgh.

And Dip92 is right. There's option for interim EAD, when you go to the website. I did iEAD appointment through infopass but had to cancel it since I got the official EAD before the Infopass appointment
