I have come to know that Ciudad Juarez, Mexico is no more accepting the visa applications from third country nationals. Only
mexican citizens are allowed to apply for visa there.
Following is an excerpt from an e-mail sent by the Interntational Student Office of an US university to all of its international students.
>Hello Students,
>
>After November 1, 2002 , the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico
>will only accept visa applications from Mexican citizens. Therefore
>citizens from any country, except Mexico, will not be able to process
>visas at the Consulate in Ciudad Juarez (near El Paso, Texas) . We are
>currently researching the possibility of students going to a different
>Consulate, but we do not have any definite information yet.
1. Can someone else also confirm the same news.
2. Does it mean the people who made their appointments before Nov. 1 are also not able to goto Mexico for stamping.
Thanks
