citizenship

I have a dilemma. I went to my citizenship interview and everything was going great until and the officer notice something that i thought wont be a big deal. My husband had ended his prior marriage after him and I got married. The first time i had applied for permanent residence i was denied base on his ability to show support. I reapplied and he was working and i was granted my green card. At my citizenship interview she ask why on the first green card on the first application i put a different divorce date and i said this was the information he gave me and that what i put down. He learn later from his ex-wife that she actually never got their marriage annulled and he quickly divorce her but it still was after our marriage. I called uscis for many months and finally i called one more time and i was told i was denied citizenship but i never received a denial letter. I want to resolve this and i wonder would i ever be given citizenship because of a mistake i made on my first green card application? We also went to city hall and they said technically our marriage is not valid so we remarry.

I don't think this is the right forum to post in. (Mods please move this.)

I don't think the citizenship should be your concern right now (even though you may not be able to naturalize based on the 3 year rule, you can always do it later based on the 5 year rule regardless of marriage). But more importantly, if your marriage was invalid, then maybe your green card which is based on it is invalid also. That's what I would be worried about.
