citizenship

I am a conditional resident, married to a USC who will be deployed to Iraq for 1 year for the second time. I read somewhere that if my USC husband is deployed for 1 year, I can apply for citizenship right away. However, the condition is that I am a permanent resident at the time of INS interview. Does that include conditional residents as well? Anybody? Thank you.

It sounds like you are referring to 8.CFR.319.2, but this only applies to LPRs who are going to accompanying their USC spouse abroad for more than 1 year.

Yes, I understand that I would have to accompany my husband abroad, however, spouses are not allowed to accompany soldiers who are deployed to the war zone (Iraq). So I guess I can't apply sooner!? Thank you for all replies.
