Citizenship via jus sanguinis?

I was wondering if I have even the slightest chance of qualifying for Canadian citizenship via my ancestry...I know it's easier in some countries, like Ireland, and next to impossible, in others.

My maternal grandmother was a canadian citizen (from Quebec) who ended up in the U.S. However, she never sought out canadian citizenship for my mother, so my mother does not have it. I have a lot of family in Quebec and other parts of Canada (but mostly Quebec). I am not especially close to them, though. Is it possible at all for me to have a shot at Canadian citizenship via my grandmother?
