My father currently resides in a nursing home and is provided medicaid/SSI benefits to pay for said nursing home fees. My question is, since the nursing home collects all of the money that he is issued by the government, is the home responsible for filing his citizenship application and covering the applicable fees? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
