I have had some at work injuries and been unable to maintain a decent income since last 3 years. I have also gotten back earned income credit.
Will this go against me when I apply for citizenship?

I don't think so. As long as you satisfy the other requirements (physical and continuous presence, etc), had no serious brushes with the law and filed the federal tax returns, you should be fine.

Neither employment nor credit status affect eligibility for naturalization, but please don't owe the IRS because that does matter.
