Citizenship - Name Change

I obtained my US Citizenship two days back. However, my father's name was mis-spelled in my birth certificate (too bad I noticed after so many years).

So the USCIS officer suggested my last name in the certificate will be what is in birth certificate to be sworn immediately or will have to wait long to get it corrected. I accepted the last name and sworned in.

What is the most feasible approach?
1. Continue to use the last name (whats in birth certificate). Then I will have to change my SSN, DL, Bank Accounts, (What else?)
2. Request for a name change. Should I go through proper name change process (that means wait for court petition and approval?) or is there any other easier way to correct the spelling?

appreciate the help..

I think the only option for you is to change name via usual court proceedings. It takes about a month where I live but may take faster in other places. Then, you can change SSN, DL, bank info and receive a passport with a new name. The certificate will remain in the old name, so you will have to carry the name change form with it. If you decide to file N-565, it may take up to 6 months (if possible at all).
