I had my interview today, it was based on 5 year GC; the process was barely 15 minutes, she went through my application and confirmed the information. Then had civic test and written test. But afterwards I was told a decision cannot be made because my application came in too early... and I am still short of two weeks for my five yr anniversary. So she will review it again on in two/three weeks and will make a decision. It took me seven years to get my GC, because labor certification took four years; but now the application wasnt approved because it came in too early...I will just wait, not sure what the oath date will be or how long is this going to take before they make a decision. It was in Iowa.
I have been reading this forum from time to time and appreciate all the help I got from this forum. Now I will start my wife's green card process, hopefully I dont have to hire an attorney, and will use the information on this forum.

Thanks for the update. This is another example of why it may be better to apply at 60-75 days before the 5 year anniversary instead of 85-90 days.
