I had my Citizenship Interview yesterday at detroit DO office. The interview was smooth. I lost my greencard in July applied for a replacement immediately. The officer just made the copy of the I90 receipt notice and the police report for the lost Greencard and took a sworn staement that if found it will be returned to them .
At the end he told me you have passed the test but he cant make a decision as my background check is still pending.He said i will be informed by mail or to enquire after 4 weeks.
Is background check and Name check different ?
I thought they mail interview letters only after Name check approval.
If Name check and Background check are different who does background check , is therer any way we can find out when it will be completeted.
