Hi Guys,
I'm glad that I found this website. I never thought I should worry about my citizenship, but after reading most of the messages from here and as well as from US citizen forum, I'm getting a little bit worried. I got my green card through asylum several years ago, and now I'm getting close to apply my citizenship. But the problems is, I lost my National Passport right before my Asylum approval after I used it to open a bank account. I never traveled outside US since I came here, though I have applied RTD for a couple of times. I got a new RP last year and haven't got a chance to use it. I only have some copies of my passport, but I don't have the original any more (ir expired long time ago, it has the VISA i used to enter US). I could apply a new passport since and I don't think there's a problem for getting it. Is that a national passport necessary in the citizenship interview? Should I apply a new one from my country's embassey? Anybody got the similar experience? Thanks for any advice.
