Citizenship eligibility related question

Hi,

I got the GC in Aug 2004. Then, I went to India and stayed for 10 months and just came back. So, I want to know how much period will be counted for the citizenship.

Sam,
practically your stay ,anystay for tht matter out of u.s for more than 6 months breaks your continuous residency...

so say u came back in march of 06,u will be eligible in march of 2010...

Even my stay from 01-SEP-2004 to 09-JUL-2005 (during which I stayed in US) won't count?
