Came to the US on F1 visa in 2004,didn't mention about my marriage in Russia on F1 visa forms as suggested by my spouse(on F1) in the US.but denied at the citizenship interview(2013) for lack of moral character because I didn't mention about my marriage(in Russia) on F1 forms!

When you applied for the F1 visa you had a spouse living in the US, and that would have affected your chances of being approved for the F1. That's probably why your ex advised you to lie. You later got a green card by applying for adjustment of status based on that fraudulent F1 admission. So be prepared to have your green card revoked.

However, if you mentioned that first marriage on your 2010 green card application, they would have already known about that discrepancy during your green card process, which means they'll have only until 5 years after your green card approval to try to rescind your green card based on that. So all you can do now is forget about naturalization forever, and hope that they won't initiate proceedings against you and your green card before you hit the 5-year mark sometime in 2015.

I didn't do that to gain entry here! Are they going to deport me for something that stupid and benign? I don't know what to do now.I know I shouldn't have done that but I was naive and didn't know about immigration laws at that time and just trusted my ex.

How did they find out about the previous marriage?

The OP might of disclosed the information on their N-400 and neglected to disclose it on their I-485. USCIS keeps everything filed in ones file including any supporting documentation sent in. Another possibility, and I highly doubt, but USCIS might of checked with the Russian authorities.

What I would like to know is why would someone re-marry their spouse here in the US after their spouses status changed when they are legally married in another country? The US Government should have recognized the marriage in Russia.

I did not get that part either. I guess to get h4 status, as they did not disclose the marriage on the f1 application?
