Should I list my trips on the application form without any explanation and explain at interview or explain on the application? Will I be interviewed no matter what or they can decide my case without the interview?

Yes, you should just list the trips. Usually if you have just a few short trips the IO will not bother to ask about them. If you have long absenses, you may be questioned, and you need to prepare yourself with explanations, and documentary evidence that you did not abandon your US residence.

Face to face interview is mandatory as far as my knowledge goes.

You have to be interviewed for citizenship. But in the interview they don't always ask about your travels beyond confirming what you already listed on the form.
