I had recieved my green card a year ago, I know it is too early to think about the citizenship.

When will i be eligible to apply for US citizenship, and how long does the process take,

You are eligible to apply after 5 yrs, but can submit the N-400 application 90 days prior to completing the 5 yrs.

Your case will be handled by the local office of the USCIS. The timelime varies greatly from city to city. It can be 6 month to 2+ years. You have to apply from where you live. Before sending the N-400, you must have established the residency in an area for at least 90 days.
