Citizenship Application - Waiting for receipt

I did not receive any kind of a receipt for my application sent just before the deadline for fee increase. The checks (for me and my spouse's ) have not been en-cashed so I am not sure what to do here ..

Does any one have any suggestions ? Is anyone in the same boat as me ?

Patients....

Most of the service centers are back logged... For me, I sent my application to the Laguna Niguel Service Center in California and here is my status so far:

7/28: Mailed Application Certified Mail
8/7: Application received by Center
10/17: Check Cashed

thanks patients...talked the USCIS service rep and she told me the same thing. Asked me to call back after 90 days ...after 10/28. Seems, strange that folks who applied with me on the same got their checks cashed before me..
