Citizenship Application (Did you wait for Exact 5 years)

I was trying to find out from personal experiences from those who have applied...

1. Did you all wait for the 5 years...
2. Did you apply with the eligible 90 days.

I am eligible to apply (within the 90 days now), however I will be away on vacataion for 2 weeks in Nov and thinking of applying when I get back.

Apply 90 days earlier if you qualify for this if you wish (check dates with Excel). If you have nobody who could receive your mail for the fingerprinting appointment, then just wait another month or so. The important thing is not to 'ignore' any appointment in this process.

Try to find out how you could postpone a possible fingerprint appointment during your vacation. Maybe somebody here can talk about specific experience. However it is best if you confirm any of this very important first hand with the USCIS.

JoeF: Thanx, its been few years since I have come back to the immigration websites, good to see that you are still very active and doing a lot of good service the the community.

My 5th anniversary is coming up in December...

let me check the spreadsheet and decide if I can put in my application.

I've got my GC 03.01.1999
My Priority Date for N-400 is 12.09.2003
Everythig was OK with USCIS...except for the NC from FBI which is pending forever...
 
Date Calculation

Is the 90 days difference calculated based on when BCIS receives N400 or is it based on when you signed N400.
Also does the 90 day rule includes the date we got the I551 or is it from the day after that. For example if say the date of stamp is 10/06/2001 will the eligible date be 07/08/2006 or 07/09/2006. (Every day matters with BCIS !)
