Citizenship and retrogression

I work for a MNC and my company is now processing L1A for me.

I want to apply for a GC as soon as I start my new job.

I have a Q and would appreciate if anyone can take time to answer them for me.

I am a Indian by birth but will be getting british citizenship in a couple of months. Is it advisable to wait till I become a british national, before applying for GC ?

Would they consider country of birth or country of current citizenship ?
