Citizenship and Registering for Military Draft

Hi,
I got approved recently (Oct 18, 2004) and got my PP stamped (Oct 25, 2004). I received a letter from my attorney which says that if I am between 18 and 26 years, I should register in the nearest post office for military draft. This should be done to demostrate good moral character. The letter also says INS can deny me citizenship if i fail to do so willingly and without good reason. Since I am over 26 years of age I feel that I don't have to do that. However the letter says that if an applicant is between 26 and 31, INS may still look for the draft registration during the citizenship process.

I am confused my this. I will be more than 31 when I apply for citizenship(5 Years from now). Based on my attorneys letter I should not have a probelm even if don't register for draft. Is my inference correct? Please share your knowledge in this regard.
Thanks.

You always have to give SS n8umber on citizen application form.
If you are not registered, as long as you show you were
not required to register when you were 18-26, everything
would be fine.

If you are now above 26, you can not register SS even if
you want to. I tried that and they returned my registration form
