Citizenship and adoption

well the same process...you definitely can bhai mere unko bolne ki kya zaroorath hein ki aapka rishtedhaar hein...unko bolo bas mujhe kisi ko zindagi dena hein mein adopt kar raha hoon...baath khattam!

As a US citizen, you can adopt an orphan child and bring him/her in US rather quickly. I believe the age limit is 16 or 18. If they are not orphan, then you have to live with them for 2 years after taking the custody and then apply for their immigrant visa.

Remember one thing
after you adopt a child...there is no legal relationship between them and their biological parents.
Once they become citizens and become adult they will not be able to sponsor their biological parents for permanent citizenship.

I have heard you can not adopt your cousins etc. Is this true? We seriously like to adopt a teenager to give a company to my own only child.

Yes you can adopt a relative. But you have to live with the relative's child for 2 yrs after getting custody to file for permanent residence.

If you adopt abroad, then you live abroad with the relative's child for 2 yrs after getting custody to file for permanent residence. But if the child can travel to US legally on a visa, then you can adopt the child here and complete the 2 yr requirement in the US.
