Citizenship 6 month continuous stay related questions

I and my wife are US GC holders for over 5 years and wanted to apply for citizenship. I feel we are eligible for all criteria except the foll on which i am not 100% clear.

I have continuous stay in US for past 5 years (with 3 weeks India visits in 2007, 2010).
In Year 2007, my wife has a few visits to India (non continuous) whose total is on the 6 month threshold.

GC Date: 6/3/05

US Depart: 1/18/07
US Arrive: 3/25/07

US Depart: 5/15/07
US Arrive: 6/27/07

US Depart: 10/08/07
US Arrive: 12/21/07

So my questions are,
1> Does my wife fit in the 6 month continuous stay threshold? Is this a problem?

2> If not an issue, when i apply for N-400, what all document will i need to submit for her and myself?

3> Any other things i should need for this scenario?

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.

Each of your wife's absences was fairly short, well under 6 months long, and even cumulatively these absences are only about 6 months total. So she should be fine, and it is not likely that these trips would cause problems with her satisfying the continuous residency requirement.

Btw, N-400 applications are adjudicated individually, so even if you and your wife submit them together in the same envelope, they will still be adjudicated individually, you'll get separate interviews etc. Your wife's application should have no impact on the consideration of your application, and vice versa.

Thank you for the replies,..its good to know the time duration is not a problem.

I have some more questions,
1> When i apply for my N-400, do i need to submit the "Continously Residency" documents?

2> If not, then what are the documents do i need to carry for her at the interview?

3> Also, Do i need to carry the docs only for year 2007, when she had the stay in India? (e.g. Tax returns, Bank Statements etc)

Thanks

Read the Document Checklist for filing N-400, it explains in detail what needs to be submitted with an N-400 application:

Do not send more documents than specifically asked for. If you are a compulsive worrier, bring some extra documents with you to the interview, but do not volunteer them unless and until explicitly asked for by the IO. In general, there is no need to submit (or even bring to the interview) any documents proving continuous residency, unless the applicant had some sort of extended absences from the U.S. during the period for which continuous residency needs to be established. In your own case, you do not need to submit or to bring to the interview any such documents. I'd say that the same is true for your wife's application, but if she wants to be on extra safe side, she could bring something (such as tax transcripts, rent/mortgage statements, etc) to the interview, just in case - but she most likely won't be asked for them.

You most definitely don't. As I said earlier, N-400 applications are adjudicated individually and you'll have a separate interview from your wife's interview. Even in the most unlikely case that her 2007 trips would cause some sort of continuous residency problems for her application, this will have absolutely no effect on our own N-400 application.
