Hi all, how are you doing guys.

i was in united states as an asylum seeker and now i am permanent resident? do my presence as an asylee count to my citizen application requirement of 5 years presence in USA.

I am also a bit disturbed my father is old 90 years, every time i call he just want to see me before he dies it is really tough? if i can sneak back to where i came from and see my father before he dies would that affect my citizenship application requirement?

Please brief me asap

1. only Presence as LPR counts toward citizenship.
2. It might affect you case, only you can make that decision. There have many posting regarding your question. please read carefully.
