Citizen parents

Hi,

My dad is a American citizen and I am in US on H-1B. I am married and over 21 yrs and do not have GC.

Which route will be quicker for me.
1) Getting GC due to my Dad's citizenship
2) Getting GC from my employer (EB3 is what they can do)

Any other suggestion?

Look at EB3 vs. Family 3rd preference in the visa bulletin and judge for yourself. http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5212.html

But it doesn't have to be either-or. You can try for both, and take whichever one comes first.

I presume your father is a naturalized citizen who obtained citizenship after your birth? If he got citizenship before your birth, you might be able to claim citizenship.
